Director of Development
Location: Seattle, WA hybrid; remote candidates may be considered
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: VP of Donor Engagement & Marketing
Salary Range: $105,000-$120,000 annually, based on experience
Agros International is hiring a Director of Development to help lead the next chapter of mission-driven growth.
Agros is a Christian nonprofit organization based in Seattle with more than 40 years of experience walking alongside rural families in Central America as they move from landlessness to land, home, and business ownership. Through a holistic model that combines land access, sustainable agriculture, rural entrepreneurship, community development, and family strengthening, Agros creates pathways to ownership, dignity, and long-term prosperity.
The Director of Development will lead revenue strategy, cultivate transformational donor relationships, strengthen major gifts and partnerships, and build the development systems needed to support Agros’ long-term mission.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute fundraising strategy across major gifts, corporate partnerships, church engagement, ambassador networks, and other revenue channels
  • Build and manage a diversified donor portfolio
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, churches, corporate partners, and institutional funders
  • Design meaningful donor engagement experiences, including vision trips, field visits, cultivation gatherings, galas, and stewardship opportunities
  • Partner closely with Donor Engagement & Marketing, Programs, Finance, and senior leadership
  • Strengthen CRM usage, pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and fundraising systems
  • Lead and support the development team with a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in development, major gifts, donor engagement, or related fundraising leadership
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
  • Experience building, leading, or strengthening development teams
  • Strong CRM proficiency, such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or equivalent systems
  • Excellent executive communication and public speaking skills
  • Ability to represent Agros externally with professionalism, warmth, and mission alignment
  • Bilingual English-Spanish strongly preferred
  • Experience in faith-based fundraising, international development, humanitarian work, or Latin America strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $105,000-$120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

We work closely with local colleges and universities to employ state-funded work study students. Interested students should check with the work study offices at their college or university for more information.
