OF FAMILIES
IN AGROS RISE
OUT OF POVERTY

In Central America, over 20
million families live in desperate
poverty, trapped in a cycle of
daily hunger, substandard
housing, and limited access to
health and education. Driven by
the search for hope, many are
forced to migrate, leading to the
fracturing of families and the
social fabric.

Path to Prosperity (P2P) is Agros theory of change model to create a lasting solution to intergenerational rural poverty

By starting a journey with Agros, these beloved children of God build a path to holistic transformation,
empowering them to lift themselves out of poverty and into a future of enduring prosperity

P2P´S

Four developmental stages

Ícono 1

RECOVER

From Extreme Poverty to New Beginnings
Families new to Agros must recover from hunger, trauma, and despair. We help restore the basic conditions for life by providing access to food, clean water, shelter, education, and healthcare.

Ícono 1

BUILD

From Survival to Dignity
Families begin building their agricultural businesses, gaining control of their futures for the first time. We support them with leadership development, agricultural training, and the promotion of strong community organizational dynamics.

Ícono 1

GROW

From Dependence to Ownership
At this stage, the focus shifts to sustainable economic development. Farmers begin generating working capital to expand their operations and connect with markets where they can sell consistent, high-quality crops for a profit.

Ícono 1

PROSPER

From Lives Transformed to a Legacy
Families reach a stage of prosperity—economically sustainable and independent. With diverse crops, commercial market ties, and sufficient income, they become landowners and can finance new projects. Now, they can plan a lasting legacy for their children.

1. Access to Land: Progress in achieving land ownership as a fundamental asset for agri-business development

2. Agricultural Production: Development of skills, agricultural knowledge, and adoption of modern farming methods.

3. Financial Empowerment: Improvements in income levels, debt management, credit scores, and savings.

4. Community Health & Gender Equity: Access to healthcare, reduction in disease prevalence, and increased participation of women in leadership roles.

5. Food Security and Nutrition: Enhancement of dietary practices and nutritional intake.

6. Social Infrastructure: Access to sanitation, clean water, and improved housing quality.

7. Education: Access to primary education.

The Aguilar family

TAKE THE AGUILAR FAMILY, FOR INSTANCE
For years, Victor and his wife Sadia struggled as vulnerable, landless farm laborers, trapped in a cycle of poverty. Their lives took a turn when they decided to join the Agros program for landless farmers.

Motivated by the dream of owning and working their own land, as well as providing a decent home for their family, they found a comprehensive solution to their needs through Agros.

Through the four developmental stages of our model of change, they have achieved intergenerational prosperity over the past five years. Their success stands as a testament to their courage, determination, and hard work at every stage of their journey—made possible by the generous support of our donors.”

Behind every statistic is a story of change towards onwership, self-sufficiency and purpose. Meet the families, and communities who are building brighter futures through our programs.
