Seattle Staff

Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually  

Location: Seattle, WA (in-office position)  

Position Summary: We’re looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to join our development team as the Donor Information and Operations Officer. In this key role, you’ll ensure smooth operations behind the scenes, managing donor data, ensuring compliance, and providing operational support to maximize Agros’ fundraising effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Maintain and manage donor records, ensuring database integrity, accuracy, and efficient reporting. Process 2,000 annual gifts and support Agros’ $4M fundraising goals.  
  • Process donor gifts, pledges, and acknowledgment letters promptly and with precision.  
  • Generate actionable reports and analyses to guide fundraising strategy and forecasting.  
  • Reconcile donor records with finance systems and ensure compliance with IRS regulations.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute donor engagement strategies and event logistics, including Agros’ flagship Tierras de Vida gala.  

Qualifications:  

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in nonprofit operations or data management will be considered in place of formal education.     
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Raiser’s Edge/RE NXT and Microsoft Office Suite is required.  
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.  
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a knack for delivering high-quality, error-free work.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • A team player with a customer service mindset who thrives in collaborative environments.  
  • Passionate about Agros’ mission and supportive of its faith-based values.

Position Overview:  Play a key role in fostering relationships with major donors and foundations, supporting fundraising campaigns, and overseeing donor focused events. This entry-level position is ideal for someone passionate about nonprofit development, with a knack for organization and a collaborative spirit.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Major Donor Engagement: Coordinate communication and events to build and sustain meaningful relationships with major donors.  
  • Proposal & Reporting: Collaborate with teams to draft impactful donor proposals and detailed reports showcasing Agros’ achievements.  
  • Community Campaigns & Giving: Lead workplace giving programs, develop community partnerships, and manage annual fundraising campaigns like Giving Tuesday.   
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute donor events—both virtual and in-person— with seamless logistics and memorable experiences.  
  • Donor Travel Coordination: Facilitate high-level travel arrangements for donor visits, including liaising with Central American staff and overseeing logistics.   
  • Administrative Support: Maintain donor records, organize files, and assist with budget management to ensure smooth and efficient fundraising activities.  

 

Qualifications:  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.  
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to adapt to new software quickly.  
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to highquality work.  
  • Customer-focused mindset with experience in donor relations or event management preferred.  
  • A passion for Agros’ mission and alignment with its faith-based values.

Internships

Work Study Students

We work closely with local colleges and universities to employ state-funded work study students. Interested students should check with the work study offices at their college or university for more information. Eligible students at Seattle Pacific University should contact the Student Employment Coordinator at ose@spu.edu.

International Staff

At times there are no positions open in the Central American communities where Agros works. These staff positions are filled by nationals of the country in which we are working.
